About Schelville California
The Sonoma Valley Railroad constructed a station known as Shellville back in 1879 after Theodore Schell.
By that time, a little town was laid out and advertised as Schellville. A school, general store, post office and a lumberyard were built. Sonoma Creek got filled with mud by the end of the century prohibiting the vessels to reach Embarcadero and soon the town disappeared.
